Aye thats some great points there too! Kaido really seemed embittered by betrayals too and thus cynical of trusting others. Ironically he partnered with Orochi for 20 years though, someone as two faced, scummy and cowardly as him too, but we still don't know how and why they met, why Kaido came to Wano and how and why they are working together too. Kaido was probs impressed by Orochis DF too ofc. I'm surprised he didn't kill Orochi for it, instill a far more competent Shogun in his place and have someone on his side who he trusts to eat the Orochi DF instead.

Kaido reminds me of Crocodile with the cynical attitude and trust issues, Croc was like that with Baroque Works and such. He showed more of it at Impel Down and Marineford too I think? Refusing Doflamingos request to work together for example? His hatred of WB even too?

Fanart ofc but this is so fucked up lmao:

I've always felt Kaido being so cynical is a sign of trauma and heavy loss, like he lost someone close to him, maybe his own race/people, family, friends or Yamato's mother even. Maybe he was close to her and her death was traumatic for him. There's also how he values Xebec and how his death affected him too? He also took in Page One and Ulti and adopted them after their father was killed too. Maria and Jack are also identical to Yamatos age (Maria 1 year older) so he knew Maria and Jack since they were very young too?

Yamatos hair colours are very peculiar too, I wonder if her DF is affecting it or not or did her mother have multiple colours in her hair somehow that passed on to her?

Hahahaha yep, the irony! Thats why he looks down on Momo too, he must think Momo is so pathetic compared to Oden and then ironically his own daughter idolises Oden so much and wants to be him entirely and not like her own father instead. Kaido must feel immense shame deep down.

the fanarts are funny and sad at the same time :risitavirus:

i think he kept orochi around because it was advantageous, like he told yamato that orochi has a talent for exploitation, and he turned wano into a great weapon factory.
i find it weird why did he killed orochi now given that he recently lost doflamingo who was providing him with smile fruits, but i guess he was really expecting yamato to take over and succeed orochi, which is not a wise decision.
i don't think the alliance with big mom was the reason for killing orochi because "new onigaashima initiative" was something he planed for in secret (it's also quite confusing because black maria knew about it to some extent, yet king said that he was tipped off by some anonymous source about kaido and yamato situation), kaido is keeping secrets even from his own lead performers.

kaido had a very lacking leadership portrayal throughout wano, the only things he's good at are "drinking and fighting", we saw how awkward he was as a leader during the big mom invasion and also when king summoned the flying six, it looks to me the king was the one running things while kaido was always drunk.

and of course there was something wrong going on with the rocks pirates, they're all traumatized by whatever happened during their time together, that most of them have trust issues. i believe big mom was the culprit as she was already conspiring against rocks long before their downfall, plus she has a nack for destroying anything she's involved with, she even had hidden motive behind her alliance with kaido.
i just don't understand why of all living people kaido only trusts completely in big mom (he trusted oden's naivety).

Zoro Worshipper
That's called healing.
Dude it literally had him experience double damage and likely pain as direct consequence and also had subside effects.

King didn't even damage him that badly that notwithstanding and yet he ended up in such poor conditions whereas he hadn't done so against Kaido and the yonko despite all that crazy damage amassed upon himself.

Do 1+1.
