Kaido just buffed himself recently but I don't think that means much bar the fact he underwent another slight power up recently.

Blackout drunk kaido will probably be his strongest form if not homicidal drunk. With his awakening fully fleshed out

It's his DF mastery
He's a cooler version of Chopper who has multiple transformation and without the rumble ball
So far he have 4 transformation, iirc

nah i don't think so.
that's just a basic thing for him to do really.
we know that kaido can go from 7 meters humanoid to 200 meters dragon in an instant, and vice versa.
kaido was just expanding and shrinking making him cross large distances at an extreme speed.

that panel is just him mid-transformation.
