another question would momo, kaido and laws godly coo notice that luffy is already back alive and has been possessed by joyboy, or would they just not notice that luffys back alive

Depends on what u believe.. if you r one of the bums that who believe oden's soul inside enma.. Than hat carries joybois soul should not be unbelieveable option for you
And as soon as luffy's body is free from soul , joyboy taking over it rather than possesing a living being . Think it like Brook's stuation.. Mf is skeleton due to findin his body after long ass time.. Soyboy is lucky unlike brook bec of free vessel just stays right at there to take over after weaklings death

Why not , he says that when his voice gone , so should be aware also when he returns back.. But look how elephant recognize soyboy as soon as he returns and informs momo about it.. There r too many useful arguments to use at shittin on luffy and declare him as dead for now

Think he probably didn't die completely unless resurrection will happen to become a thing in this verse but I highly doubt that for a bunch of compelling reasons. 🤔

I think he may have died, especially with how much the characters emphasized it in this chapter. Him, Zoro, Drake, and Kaido have all been associated with death this arc through Hawkins’ predictions, proclamations from other characters, and Grim Reapers so I wouldn’t be surprised if at least one of them actually bites it, regardless of whether or not they come back.

I don't feel like this is Joy Boy, not the one who already lived many centuries ago at least.

I think the most feasible possibility is that it's still Luffy and he awakened and his heart started to beat once again. The possession scenarios look more far fetched at the moment compared to the reincarnation one.

But I think he will defeat Kaido, just not kill him off.

That's just the SFX for dead silence. It can be used in 100 different contexts.

Here it's clearly used as a dramatization moment, like in a movie where it's quiet when something shocking happens.

I know, but Oda confirmed his death so many times in that chapter.

In short, This is what happened to Luffy.
