luffy's devil fruit is basically being in creative mode , shanks told him he has gum gum no fruit so luffy has been thinking his devil fruit has gum properties and that it is rubber .

The thing about Luffy after awakening finding out he can warp shit and do cartoony stuff makes sense since Nika - Joyboy - brought smiles to the people of his time, can't expect a buff & deadly looking dude with serious powers like Kaido or White beard to have brought smiles to people ...... BUT WHY THE FUCK DID IT HAVE TO CHANGE luffy always made his DF that was thought to be trash by his enemies look special and to top it all off Akaiune and Blackbeard don't look as scary or interesting anymore since our fcking Captain is God mode 24/7.
