There should be big tension in this battle,and when Kaido did beat Luffy,there finally was some tension... then the battle became a Looney Tunes cartoon! How can you end what should be an epic fight like that?? Imagine if Toriyama ended the battle vs Freezer in Namek using the style he used in Goku vs the rabbit with sunglasses. Absurd!

We lost all the momentum for the fight on 1042.

We had a chance to get it back, but nope. Oda decided to turn the fight into a gag.
It's hard to be emotionally invested in this.

When Luffy is in G5 things remind me of the Buu arc saga when characters were fighting Fat Majin Buu and everything looked like a meme

One piece as a whole never had tension except at saboady when Luffy lost his crew. That was the only set back. Ace death was a wake up call to become stronger to survive in new world.

Which is the issue. I mean a lot of people thought that, at least, Luffy fighting Kaido would give us some tension in this raid but it did not.

Luffy is fighting the WSC, the top 1 of the verse and the last part of the fight, the part would should put us on edge, is a gag.

I don’t know why Oda think that deprived OP from any tension is a good thing at all.

How is epic when Luffy is basically playing with Kaido now? I dont know...lets see how the fight will end,but right now i cant see a conclusion coherent with the seriousness this arc had. I am not against comedy,but even early OP didnt had a Looney Tunes style comedy,it was different.
