But awakening never effect the opponent, in case Luffy power effects even the others.
The punch go through Kaido, like how Law used kroom to go through BM head, Kaido didn´t even had a hole in the moment when Luffy hand was in his head.

But that's what I think makes Luffy df special.

Kaido had goofy like expressions in last chapter.


So, it's possible that this time luffy made kaido face elastic and landed punch on him bending his face.



It's not bypassing kaido face because we can see kaido face bending due to the impact of the punch nor there is any hole.


So only possible explanation is kaido face became elastic for a moment when Luffy landed that punch - based on Luffy own will - Freedom

i love the fights oda propose every time.

to be completely honest, if we analyze zoro fights, they are the most “boring” and “standard” ones in the all series, because they all have the same typical pattern: struggle —> flashback —> one shot

other fights like usopp and chopper in alabasta, usopp vs perona, nami vs kalifa, robin vs black maria etc are all more interesting. the only particular fight zoro had was the one against money, and in fact it was top three moments for the character imo.
luffy vs kaido is a glorious fight and a breath of fresh air
