Nope it was the specific reason for him. And even if it was true for everyone there....its not true for Zoro. Since Zoro was always gonna appear, even long before it was decided on all these.

Oda has stated that he picked between a lot of number 2's. Meaning some crews have people with eqivalent statuses. Like Zoro and Sanji. Zoro was always meant to appear not Sanji.

Oda: oh, that's a great question! It's true, Luffy can see the future so he might win. But, Luffy hates cheating so I think he won't use future sight. I believe they'll all end up in a fight anyway regardless of the result!

No they all have to be on that cover for the same reason
It's not gonna be different reasons
Sabo isn't even a pirate so vice captain doesn't even apply here so that isn't the reason they are all on there
Oda gives us the reason with bepo

Same goes for Ray Ben King is stronger than Queen no equals bullshit
Kata shiryu the strongest commander for teach sabo bepo and zoro

No they dont have to be. He stated he picked this all on whim. Meaning some people were given different reasons than others. And the reason Zoro was picked over Sanji...was that it was always gonna be his colourspread.

Either way Oda has confirmed that Zoro isnt VC, and that he picked between number 2s. Wings will always win.

You argue about the obvious
Zoro is the second strongest on the team.
Zoro is the best candidate for the position of vice-captain, he acts as vice-captain when necessary.
No one is better suited to the role of vice-captain than Zoro.
No one will tell you via sbs or databook that Zoro is the vice-captain, all this must be understood by reading the manga, that's why it was drawn
Everyone who denies it just doesn't want someone to be higher in status than their favorite
