But from what we've seen in Wano he's clearly strong enough. So unless we're gonna find out some bullshit happened in his past and he got so sad that he didnt wanna leave Wano it would be an asspull
I think Xebec dying and being completely erased from the world, his existence wiped out has led to Kaido's depression. Kaido may have really looked up to him and or Shiki too, given how kinda similar Shiki is to Kaido too imo.
There's that theme of men truly dying when they are forgotten, not just in physical/literal death and thats what happened to Xebec.
Kaido doesnt want that fate, he wants to go out gloriously and bravely like Whitebeard did, to be immortalised in history and by everyone for eternity, maybe even as a hero? Even people on the "villain side" or the "evil side" can have their own heroes too ofc!

There's been a lot of in-fighting and mistrust in the Rocks Pirates as been stated before, BM even said to Kaido not to trust the others or even Xebec too in that recent flashback panel and maybe the WG had a spy in Rocks or sowed some kind of distrust in them somehow through rumours, manipulation and such and led to them turning on each other too? Or they were just "too pirate" in nature for their own good, to function as a stable crew, too much "conqueror's/captain energy" or something? Lmao.

Kaido has given hints on why he's so depressed, he really hates humans, he is very cynical and says people will just betray you, humans cannot be trusted and are weak/inferior or so. He went berserk against Yamato briefly when she tried to reason with him and defend humans/Oden.

He was completely different when he met King despite thir circumstances and we dont know who Yamatos mother is, how Kaido met her and what happened to her. There might be some major tragedy there too knowing Oda and his actual open hatred towards mothers.

We also don't know why Kaido would work with someone as cowardly, two faced and pathetic as Orochi too, why did he even come to Wano, was he following Whitebeard who came there or for other personal reasons like to do with the One Piece or hearing about the samurai/Kozukis/Oden/Poneglyphs/Seastone or w/e? If Shiki was really associated with and even from Wano as suspected, that would explain a too! Oda implied Shiki is connected canonically with that witch transforming into him too.

I just wish Oda would stop fucking blue balling us on Kaidos past, motivations, why his character seems so incosistent due to all of this and such. We knew Big Moms backstory in WAY less time than this and its completely ridiculous! I believe WCI was only 87 chapters as I heard recently?! Quite a contrast by far...Wano is gonna be double that at this rate at least!

Scabbards can also cut kaido. Your point?
My point is that, after Oden, only rooftop Zoro ever penetrated Kaido's skin deep enough to leave a lasting wound being the second guy after Oden to ever do that.

The Scabbards never penetrated flesh like Zoro. They aimed at Oden's scar and merely opened it up a little. Inu merely managed to stab a bit into Kaido's body which also never left a mark.
G5 would maul KoH Zolo
That's not the point. In overall combat ability even Advanced CoC Boundman is above KOH Zoro but Zoro's attacks are still far more devastating.

Someone for the love of god tell kaidou that luffy is a joyboy i want to see what he thinks about it. But kaido will conclude soon enough, who is Luffy.

See this is my biggest issue with Wano. This all sounds so interesting but I just don't give a fuck about seeing it anymore when we've had to push through nearly 100 chapters of a raid filled with bullshits side plots and awful fights

Be patient. Kaido is shaping up to be the best antagonist in this series:cheers:

Didnt shuten foji get his head cut off?:crazwhat:
Yessir! After his head was cut off, it flew around and tried to bite the person who slayed him! That person had to wear a helmet to protect themself from being bitten or even eaten by his head!

https://mythus.fandom.com/wiki/Shuten-dōji

Shuten dōji and his gang rampaged through Kyoto, capturing noble virgins, drinking their blood and eating their organs raw. Finally, a band of heroes led by the legendary warrior Minamoto no Yorimitsu assaulted Shuten dōji's palace, and with the help of some magical poison, were able to assault the oni band during a bout of heavy drinking. They cut off the drunken Shuten dōji's head, but even after cutting it off, the head continued to bite at Minamoto no Yorimitsu.

Because the head belonged to an oni and was unholy, it was buried it outside of the city limits, at a mountain pass called Oinosaka. The cup and bottle of poison that Minamoto no Yorimitsu used are said to be kept at Nariai-ji temple in Kyoto.

ZKK, BABY!

I havent really enjoyed a chapter this mich since 1037.
Shaping up?
We've seen him for 100 chapters and crocodile is still a better villain then him
Crocodile is the most basic villain in manga history. "To be weak is a sin" blablabla. We see him countless time stabbing people with his hook through the chess and No one suffered major injuries. Not even Robin. Only his defeat was note worthy for me. The rest was bland

how is Kaido interesting when in 100 chapters all that happens is "rahhhhh I'm strong!!!"

@MarineHQ62 here more of Kaido's reaction that you care:

Unless you believe Luffy with just advanced CoA has superior attack to Luffy with Awakening + CoC + CoA sure then, if you believe that don't reply for the sake of this thread.
Since you care about BM's reaction, even she acknowledged the fact thay Zoro cut through Kaido's scales even with his standard attacks he uses to cut fodder up. Kaido mentions how painful it is.

Cutting through Kaido's scales and leaving a mark > attacking from the inside out
