Zoro carries One Piece during Wano, so I wouldn't say it's 'delusional'.
If it's not a 'hype' chapter, then majority of discussions (on pretty much all forums) turn out to be Zoro discussions.

In this case, Oda's draft had Usopp as the first mate and he actually is the only character Luffy has ever "accepted" as such; Usopp even saw himself that way one time. Not like there's a first mate anyways, but Oda could very well come and say he is.
