Can all vouch for the benefits of a rep system. Let’s do it.

I think the "like" button and the ranking system are enough.

Adding rep is the same thing as adding a "dislike" button.

Disagree. It will cause disturbance here especially in battledome users taking rep each others for the sake of the arguments.

I think we all know when a post or something is really bad, and we can ignore people.

And if someone is negged hard he will be marked as a "bad user" and will maybe not return here. Or people who don't know him will have a bad opinion on him and about what he said without even reading.

Dislikes can easily be abused. So I would prefer different reactions or emotes you can add to a post.

A rep system is pointless if a ranking system exists. Based on my experience on NB, it is best not to have rep because it can create big issues. This is why the NB admins removed rep and the dislike button after the transition to AB.
