I just did a re-read of Oda's short stories collections (Wanted, Monsters...)

And we see so much stuff in those stories we dreaded for One Piece :suresure:

In the first Wanted short story, we see a ghost, and not some spooky crazy thing, but just a person that died and didn't wanna move on.

In the second story, we see an actual god that writes destiny, and Oda says he loves that story.

In the third story we also get another god, both this god and the one in the second story are very human-like, so Im could be a god and Joyboy / Nika back in the day could've just been some really normal looking people.

So here we go: Gods, Destiny and Ghosts. Three things people still don't wanna see in One Piece, Oda already did it before One Piece started and said he loved those stories.

Luffy is 100% a child of destiny.
the question of whether luffy is a child of destiny or not has been a part of this series since ALMOST the beginning though. woop slap goes "is it his dream... or his destiny?" in a pretty early chapter. thats always been one of the big mysteries in one piece. and i think its still pretty unclear. the last chapter even had a big build up, like Luffy was going to say "I'm Nika!" or "I'm Joyboy!" or something, but he said the same thing he always does. Kaido even went like "good im glad its still you"

Because it is both just like Luffy is both. Luffy is the child of destiny and his dream is the same as Joyboy's as it will turn out in the end. Which is why it is also his destiny. He wasn't about to say "I'm Nika" either. Kaido surely already understands/suspects that Luffy is joyboy but he doesn't want him to fail just like he himself did which is why he says "good it is still you". He wants Luffy to be himself not the failure Kaido sees in himself when trying to pursue Roger's One Piece to become "Joyboy" As King believed he is.

Kaido knows King wants him to suceed and believes in him. Keep in mind he is from an ancient tribe that got almost erased- yes cause he is from a tribe that likely existed in the void century. Sounds familiar? Kaido is burdened by that and secretly wants to see Luffy manage what he failed to do. Which is why he says "you couldn't be joyboy either it seems..." In chapter 1014.

I hope so. When I do try make actual points I am glad when it makes somewhat sense for someone cause admittedly I s*ck at phrasing and keeping my thoughts clear and understandable. Sometimes there are so many of them at once it gets all mixed up and ends up being contradiction city by accident. :mihugh:

Man, what a weird era of human history we're living in. :lawsigh:

(Only talking about the thumbnail)This is one of the relatively nicest stupid things they are doing…comparing to killing pets, separating parents and children, sealing doors, dumping 1000 positive people at a quarantine site that’s not completely constructed with only one toilet(without proper plumbing), and provide them with no actual treatment

I have serious doubts that the CCP is doing this to prevent Covid, this stinks like a war prepation of a tyrant regime to me. If they want to wage an external expansionist war they'd have to conquer their internal enemy first which is ther own people. The CCP is insane like that.
