Oda in this arc pretty much said, "screw everything I established before". Why was Killer able to retrieve Hawkin's straw doll and yet Law couldn't do it with his devil fruit powers when Hawkins took his crew's straw dolls?

There, Law has not even one, but several opportunities to resist Hawkins at once. In fact, his power can neutralize Hawkins or dolls without harming his people, as in the first fight in Wano.


Law could use Scan and remove the dolls easly.

Yes, at first, he didn't know how Hawkins DF worked. But after first attack Law immidieatly get how it work, when first attack switched to another person, he just cut Hawkins people and then attack Hawkins with with a satisfied smile. Hawkins even praised Law's sharp mind, when said: "well, you certainly think on your feet!"

Law could use Radio knife, and, no matter what ability and trick Hawkins have, few minutes he will be defenseless target.

Yes, all this threat to Law and taking hostages is completely meaningless and stupid, since Law can attack and neutralize without causing damage.

Yes crayon eater read before that

He says but the "damage should have" transferred to kidd
Until he realises kidd doesn't have a left arm so kidd takes no damage.
So he takes the damage which let's killer take the arm and doll
The dolls would still be linked to laws crew and Hawkins could kill them by hurting himself.

Yes captain obvious, you are just regurgitating the events that happened in that panel. The fact of the matter is that Killer was the one to manually remove the straw doll. Usually we see the straw dolls get removed automatically without anyone manually removing them which begs the question, if someone can manually remove them, why couldn't Law.

Once again Hawkins would just stab himself and kill one of Laws crew whilst law tries to take it.
The only reason killer got an opening here is because Hawkins forgot kidd is missing an arm.

Once again, Law has a devil fruit power that will prevent that from happening. Just use your devil fruit and remove the straw dolls. This isn't rocket science. Law's ability is instantaneous.

Also, why does the straw dolls stay in Hawkins body while he continually takes damage from Killer. Usually we see Hawkins straw dolls fall off when he takes damage but with Kidd he was able to take multiple damage from that straw doll still being inside of him.
