Well Kaido is building an Zoan army for himself and has one aswell. Don't take infos like that too literally, it wasn't meant to belittle devil fruits at all. If anything this just highlights other characters like Shanks even more, those that completely focus on their haki.

Devil fruits are still an additional powerup and in some cases can be devastating. Could be a precautious thing by Oda, to balance out the future fight of Blackbeard Vs Luffy.

The concept of Advanced Haki was introduced only after Dressrosa the last time we've seen an Admiral fight on panel. I'd rather wait for them to shoff before coming to such judgment cause it could turn out badly.

The Admirals already have Ryou so they aren't turds that only spam around their elements which is foolish to believe considering how their tutors were two haki monsters in Garp and Zephyr, again, if we consider him canon. Iirc his Navy career was canon.

I dont think you get it
every vice admiral is proficient in haki
I think this assumption that admirals are reliant on dfs is abit stupid

literally saw them use the barrier pre ts
aokiji and akainu avoid hits like katakuri does
teach will have strong haki just like kaido.

For now....feat inflation is a thing and the natural course Shounen takes is that abilities like FS or Adv CoC are not going to be any special moving on.

We already have 5 Adv CoC users on Onigashima and the number is just going to grow
