Hard to argue in favor of the admirals even though I'm a big fan, I think from now on it will depend on Luffy, if he fights Akainu he can bring the glory of the admirals back, but I think at the moment characters like Sabo, Zoro and Sanji will be the ones who go against the admirals... We can't be idiots like Zoro fans who create another manga in their own head to overestimate Zoro, admirals fans we need to be realistic... in this current scenario.

If Luffy fights Akainu then Zoro takes on Kizaru, Lanji is not fighting anyone so you don't need to worry about the Admirals portrayal.

For now....feat inflation is a thing and the natural course Shounen takes is that abilities like FS or Adv CoC are not going to be any special moving on.

We already have 5 Adv CoC users on Onigashima and the number is just going to grow

Papazuki may have been functional all the time after that for all we know. PIS probably had him switch objective from Whitebeard to Luffy but also recovered first.

If anything Whitebeard was already standing in pitiful conditions and death was near thanks to Sakazuki.
