General & Others Which Strawhat had the most development or growth as a character in Wano

#2
As a Luffy fan I'd argue either Zoro, Sanji or Nami.

Zoro - Because of his KOH moment and seeing himself as conqueror.

Sanji - Accepting the power from Germa helps protect his friends and then destroying it because he didn’t want to become like his brothers.

Nami - For the moment she declared Luffy would become PK despite the fact she was about to get killed off of Ulti.

Robin and Sanji are the only ones I’d say really grew. Robin got the opportunity to payback the crew for relying on her in EL and this time be the one who was standing up for them.

Sanji was also part of that- he accepted that he needed to put Robin in dange— but he also had the growth about the RS. I don’t much like the plotline itself, but it was growth.

I’m not sure I’d say Zoro grew much. I don’t think we saw anything from Zoro that was a new facet of his character. He’s always been extraordinarily strong willed, he’s always had a soft spot for the helpless, he’s always been willing to put his life on the line. Wano I’d say has more been a post-skip solidification of what makes Zoro a man than him needing to grow. I think the Enma issue was just a temporary blip more than anything else.

Nami not giving up on Luffy and saying he’ll be PK, eh, again, I think she’s always been like that, it’s just she showed in hard circumstances. Maybe it does count as growth, I liked the scene, but I’d maybe have to reread.

i have really liked the way oda handled sanji and how everything basically came full circle...i do have hope that my boy zoro will get much more development and growth though. It seems oda is not done with him by a long shot.

Zoro did get a good amount. He grew from:
- Someone who’s name will reach the heaven for his promise to Kuina
To:
- Someone willing to be connected to hell for his promise to Luffy

It shows a shift in his priorities of who’s promise is more important to him.

I don`t think Zoro need that much character development.
sure he has some but more won't hurt him lol

well to be fair that's his whole pre timeskip development we already knew luffys dream was much more important to him the moment nothing happened.I do think the current events of him being connected to hell will indeed have a payoff for me thats zkk or if oda has something else planned only time will tell.I think between the end of the raid and when zoro goes to ryuma grave we will get a lot on him.

Yes but the resolution of that character arc did well.

As for Zoros connection to hell and Ryuma, I think we’ve talked on this before. I think:
1. It’ll be for Zoro to protect Wano from the world government like Ryuma did
2. I think EOS Zoro will be connected to Pluton

Sanji for finally admitting his weakness with women and destroying the Raid Suit

In fact, I think Sanji was the only one who had any development in Wano.
CharaCter development? Sanji
Imo it's Sanji.
Well, nope nope and nope.

Forget character development, actually Sanji got the worst character regression ever in Wano arc.
1. He used Raid Suit, ruining all the "strong without technology / weapon / DF / genetic" theme he had since day one.
"But but he threw away the suit!!" Yep only to receive power up from daddy's gene. Basically the same. No more good old pre TS normal human Sanji. Nowadays he is nothing more than Judge's son.

2. He went from smart Sanji, Mr. Prince who outsmarted Crocodile, the one who opened Ennies Lobby door; into an idiot who replaces his brain with his dick.
Battle against 2 Yonkos??? Time for prostitutes!!!

3. He went from Lady Protector, saving damsels in distress: saving Nami in Thriller Bark and Dressrosa, saving Tashigi in Punk Hazard, saving Vivi in Alabasta.
In Wano? He didn't appear when Ulti beat Nami to half death (actually RIP Nami if not thanks to Otama's coming).
He could hear Tashigi crying in PH, yet now Nami which is closer to him than Tashigi, beaten to half death and crying but the cold blooded Germa Prince, son of Judge, never coming.

I think he is complete character already, maybe his family lineage would be explored more and he was promised visit to Ryuma grave, that could lead to something. I think that will be enough for Zoro.
