It has never been and if it becomes like that it would mean that Oda is out of imagination and on the low...
There's even a panel in Skypea of Zoro saying he doesn't fight for revenge...
Law wanted revenge on Doffy? He didn't get it and instead got his ass handed to him.
So why is everyone fixated on the idea of revenge ?

I'm just glad Oda doesn't moralize about the danger of revenge like Kishimoto did with Sasuke. Sanji's biggest problems with Law and Zoro when they were after revenge wasn't the fact that they wanted revenge, just that their emotions were clouding their judgment.

I've actually grown fond of the idea of Kin'emon vs Kanjuro. They're the retainers we've known the longest, and it'd be a battle between the most loyal vassal vs the traitor. Then again, I still like the idea of Kin'emon supporting Momo in a fight with Orochi. He's been a second father figure to the kid and Orochi has demonstrated notable fear for his abilities as a strategist.
