Because based on his story projection and actually lore he set it up that way.

He introduced a blade in actual mythos to have killed orochi and then another sword that in mythos killed a demon (oni).

Look at it from this perspective what would be the purpose of Oden passing down those two blades if they contributed nothing to the defeat or orochi and kaido two people destroying wano?

Nah he's still smiling. Awakening makes him a lot more durable because he's taking these hits with a laugh. Kaido is on the same health bar from when the Scabbards did Sunacchi

Wrong.

Orochi is killed by a figured called Susanoo using Kusanagi no Tsurugi, which is was renamed from Ama no Murakumo. This is Kizaru's light blade name, because it's a one of the fabled treasures of Japan.

So Ame no Habakiri, while it alludes to killing Orochi in its name, it does not mean it has to (though I'd love it)


Tldr: Kizaru kills Orochi

Denjiro when he cuts Orochi, he doesn't use the Amino Habakiri Sword

It wouldn't make any sense for Denjiro to use it either way

Why not? People of Wano want him dead. Kaido needs to die for Wano to be saved. Luffy does not kill. Zoro does and has iterated his desire to put Kaido down. Then unlocks the power to slay dragons (AdCoC).

A character as strong and goal driven as Kaido can't be alive and at the same time be irrelevant in the story , be real

I highly doubt that Ame no Habakiri was crafted to kill the user of the mythical Orochi fruit
