Last time i checked the scar motive linked Sakazuki and Luffy as it does Shanks and Blackbeard. I know Yonkou fans pray at night that this fight ain't happening knowing full well that's what all the setup is leading too.

But what's the point for Luffy to fight Akainu if he legitimately surpasses Kaido, who has near peak Haki and a Dragon fruit that gives him monstrous physicals (durability, endurance, recovery) and now even a flame mode that melts everything he comes into contact with.

It would become Luffy >= Kaido > Akainu.
