If you compare G5 with other Gears then its no surprise that G5 is stronger. But imo G2-G3 have become his base (no side effect), G4 side effect has become minimized (he can fight for a long time before side effect kicks in) while G5, well G5 might be the cheat mode who can self-revive and self-rejuvenate without limit.

See I like the point of zoro Being a swordsman which makes him fall in the category of Rogers , shanks , and mihawk. But community won't accept is side characters is stronger than main character. Fan would just refuse to accept it and authors knows it. Oda himself said Haki tops it all. That's why majority of Top tiers are just haki users. And haki is basically will. Luffy is most vulnerable to slashes and who has the most powerful slashes aside from swordsman?. Kaido Wind slashes aren't even string as zoro slashes yet Wind slashes put damages on g5.
