People said Chapter 1048 was filler but its whole purpose was to build up Kaido and Orochi imminent downfall, so while the fight may continue, I wouldn't be surprised if it ends now.

most of the issues like fire, basement bombs, BM etc are resolved.. nothing in particular is left to focus on even the side antagonist Orochi is down..

and this Luffy vs Kaido parallels well with Doffy vs Luffy..
EXACTLY THE SAME SEQUENCE.. and people cheering for him a chapter early while he's clashing mid air with a GIANT FIST AFTER HIS NEW PU.. and then Luffy KKG overpower's him
