Likely, yes. It probably aligns with the lanterns going into the air. I do find it odd in some ways though if thats the case:
- No "Vs" chapter like Sanji, Zoro, and Kid/Law got
- No "Acala" move (assuming it's just the same clash from last chapter)
- He loses in Full Zoan (i.e. no big Kanabo clash with Luffy; again assuming it's the same clash)
Of course these aren't "rules" Oda needs to follow, totally understand that.
Oden failed to beat zoan kaido, it is fitting for kaido to lose in his zoan form
Luffy is the new Oden, the Joyboy who succeeds what Failed Joyboy (Oden) couldn't accomplish
Kaido used his best attacks to counter Luffy's God Gun
Hybrid Kaido wouldn't stall or clash with this punch, it is too big and powerful
That's why he used his zoan flaming mode to get bigger and counter
We already had Hybrid kaido vs G4 finale clash where both used their best moves
Drunk Hybrid TB vs OKG
Flaming Dragon vs Monkey God Gun
Kaido won the last finale clash, he lost this one and the battle is over
