i think leaving him alone hasn't harmed town in anyway so far, in fact he helped us by protecting ratchet and outing indigo

ekko did it to save ultra not ratchet, he only felt bad for him
btw ekko is who he says he is zolo's flip confirms it since that robot is his character's partner it would make no sense to add the robot but not her.
