I couldn't stop crying myself when I wrote this.
In fact, I based it somewhat on my own heritage. Jews have been in exile for 2000 years, longing and yearning for the forbidden Holy Land generation after generation. Some even tried to make the journey simply to die in Jerusalem.
Luckily today Israel exists and I'm here to share this story from my own perspective :)

I love the way Kaido holds his hand to teach him to fly.
As a kid, he had shorter wings, only reaching his waist. I think they were not yet fully developed. Then again, they might have been enough for his weight back then.
I agree he could fly as a kid, and maybe even now, but the difference between his Lunarian wings and Pteranodon wings is like the difference between a commercial plane and a fighter plane. It's all about agility and maneuvers in the air. That's why he switches forms so often in combat.
BTW, I'll soon explain a bit about flying in my fanfic.

Yeah, especially the first part where he has to undress first...
But his shirts, they all must have some sort of "sleeves" or holes for his wings. I was thinking of how he could push his large wings through such holes, against the direction of the feathers, and it made me realize that no, he wouldn't do that, it has to be some other solution. So I came up with the idea of the buttons. He'd simply wear his shirt under the wings, and then pull it up and button on top of them. Or another solution can be a huge hole for both wings and fire.
