King was able to physically overpower Zoro who can momentarily halt Hakai, and create an Island sized barrier.

Akainu's best Haki feat is blocking shit tier Gura attack with help of Kizaru and Aokiji.

King can use Ryou and coat a sword as well and contend against Ryou Zoro without swords breaking.

Luffy plays no role what so ever in kaido's defeat.

You also have to factor in the time it takes. What if it takes many hours for Kaido to die in the lava? Akainu isn’t gonna get to bathe Kaido for hours if they fought, and all the prior damage Kaido has taken would make it much easier for the magma to finish the job

WB's best physical feat is stopping a ship. King kicks away much bigger ship casually with his tiny claws.

And Tempuradon is superior to the WB casual gura bisento strike.

Akainu was helpless against final punches from Whitebeard and Zoro can generate far greater power than that.
