It’s never stated that Kaido got captured at god valley? It’s stated big mom gave Kaido the seiryu fruit and that somehow saved his life. Likely he escaped god valley because of that fruit

I think it’s more likely that Kaido survived Gods Valley because of it. Check 1035/1036 of Kings flashback. Kaido’s disappearance lines up nicely with him being captured and experimented on afterward. That’s when Kaido starts his new crew. He mentioned being betrayed again to King and this only makes sense if Kaido was captured post Gods valley incident

Well yeah it was after gods valley, but the fact that big mom calls Kaido a snake it’s more likely Kaido just straight up left Gods Valley and was captured a few years later.
