Them being sealed in lava under Wano seems like worst case scenario to me cause that would mean Wano is doomed if Luffy ever leaves.

Lava will keep filling the hole until new land will be forming there, burying them forever (killing them from asphyxiation in the process).
So they coming back, in that scenario, shouldn't be possible.
