That's a great point. Sanji received his last and greatest power in Wano for me near death experience. Luffy also received his last and greatest power in Wano for me near death experience. Zoro hasn't.
Zoro mastered enma and obtained ACoC because he couldn't hurt his opponent. Similar to when Luffy obtained ACoC to cause greater damage to Kaido.
Zoro is currently experiencing his near-death experience. We must see the conclusion to it and what he obtains from it.

Zoro's defeat of king is a false W. king will wake up and be killed by others

A character can be defeated and still return to fight another battle.
Kaido defeated Luffy 4 times throughout Wano. Three of those times occurred during the war. Oda made him the official winner of one of their battles.
While Luffy won another battle or the war.
Oda even calls them two different battles. Kaido won the Battle on rooftop skull dome. Luffy won the Battle in the sky above Wano.
Kaido and King and are the are two different characters. King has never lost before so Zoro defeating was significant since it was the first time he has lost a battle.
Kaido is an invincible character that can't be killed that killed that has been defeated 7 times before. Being defeated again is not as significant, but still impressive.
Kaido being killed in battle by a strong opponent will be the equipment to King being defeated in battle for the 1st time by strong opponent.
Dude, Awakening = Body & Mind catch up to your Ability
But each DF's Ability is different & hence requires different level of Body & Mind
Becoming one with a Cow isn't same as becoming one with a so-called Sun God
CoC is always highlighted whenever Luffy enters Gear 5, and it's drawn with his Heartbeat (Drums of Liberation)
His Mind finally was able to handle Sun God Awakening because he reached a Level where he can have Fights on Highest Levels
And that was thanks to him unlocking Adv. CoC
And let's be honest, you think someone named after a God doesn't have Adv. CoC?
A Cow or Rhino are Animals that don't have CoC, that's why you don't need to have King's Qualities to Unlock Potential of their DFs
But there is no way Sun God & Buddha are Beings without CoC, so for Luffy to finally awaken his DF's True Form, he needed to unlock Adv. CoC
