I remember reading one piece because it was fun but now I only care about Nami :josad:.

Heroine of shounen rarely get something or as much relevance then even side character.
I want to trust Oda that we will get something.

Certain popular youtuber said in his video that Nami and Robin only exist for coomers. I got pissed off so much.

But there is some truth on it. He has been treating character as merchandise more now that's why he doesn't want to change or grow his character much.

I still don't have many problems with Nami character.
In fishmen , there was not much more for any character other than Luffy. We still get little bit.
Punk hazard both Tashigi and Nami get humiliated for some reason. Nami still have some character moment
Dressrosa was empty.
Zou and whole cake was good for Nami.
In Wano she has been sidelined too much , we still got two scene about her loyalty to Luffy but it's four year arc that isn't really much.
Although every strawhat other than Luffy has been going through it after time skip.

Hope Oda has something planned out for Nami. He did mention that he has separate backstory for Nami in Gold interview.
Although theories are wastage , if Oda didn't do much. Especially if Toei and Marketing department want new character and side character to get more shine.

Kinda hilarious that Nami was removed from first chapter because of editor. I do enjoy some aspect of Nami character but casual reader aren't going to pick it up. Especially the one who only care about strength. Nami is arguably one of the best written character but can easily get overshadowed.
I hope she is only getting sidelined so much because Oda has something big planned for her in next arc.
lmao you’re spitting. I really only care about them tbh. I prefer Nami in the raid then the first two acts where I felt Oda didn’t have a clue what to do with her. I think she suffers as a character when she isn’t around Luffy @AverageNamiEnjoyer

Zoro is a rather simple character, yes, with little needs in terms of luxury or a lot of dialogue. But I always saw the path for him being similiar to Musashi in Vagabond, who developes quite a lot of complexity as the story goes on despite his simple lifestyle. Both Musashi and Zoro started out as brutes trying to cut everything with sheer force, but both eventually got to the point where sheer force was not enough anymore so they had to look into the nitpicking details of their craft. Musashi slowly became a more calm and freespirited version. Not luffy free spirited like as in manically laughing and just wanting to party and have fun, but the free spirited version of going with the flow of things and actually paying attention to the small things in life. I got a little bit of that impression in Zoro in the beginning of this arc, too, when he travelled through wano and seemed much more content than usual. I figuered as the arc goes on his journey would go more in this direction as the people there would take off his burden of pushing himself so hard all the time and instead be more content and gaining more insight from observation. However given the way this arc went ... nobody knows what Oda even has left in store for him at all. Maybe nothing. Who knows...
It's funny because Wano was the opposite for Zoro IMO. Instead of being more free spirited Act 2 especially focused on Zoro taking the burden of Hiyori and Toko upon himself, even during Onigashima we see him literally too take some really heavy burden on himself during the Rooftop fight and even after that during his fight with King too.

I also wanted to say that Wano Zoro is the best I've enjoyed his character in probably 10 years but I still don't see his character drastically changing after Wano like it kinda happened with Sanji too. If anything Wano will only strenghten Zoro's already positive traits (this is why I also believe that with his new bounty Zoro will also receive the official title of "Deputy captain" or whatever the title was that Oda used for that #1 men color spread with Kat, Marco, Bepo, etc.)

I would really prefer if Zoro remained a normal dude instead of having a special family like Luffy or Sanji
Zoro out of all the original 5 should be the one who is the least special when you consider his arc and character. I’d like Usopp to be no one special either tbh but I think there’s a connection on his dads side to someone else

Usopp's actually a character that benefits having a special lineage because his entire character arc's about proving himself to his family heights
