Chopper in his joining arc actually had amazing moments. His flashback and Hiruluk are memorable. I don't feel it with Yamato, we barely spent time with the daimyo for me to care about them. And I know she sees Oden as a mentor but the actual moment she started to love him wasn't shown but only told
Technically Zoro and Usopp flashbacks were worse, but they were right at the beginning of the series where Oda didn't plan for it to be that long. He showed he can write extremely good ones later.
