so far out of all the Champion ship he has won only one. Though being a shounen anime. it doesn't follow same path as chosen one type anime's.

Even in Kalos region with rare evolution of greninja was sort of chosen one thing. yet he got beat by a Mega charizard.

This show doesn't garantee win everytime. I like it for that.
