Ratchet

The End and the Beginning
I wasn’t burned by zem at all, I at no point thought she was as pro town as she claimed and repeatedly called for her to die, and I was for most of the game an Indy myself having been culted.

I come from an environment where negotiating with indies is considered to be moronic, and it’s a position that serves me well, as evidenced by the seemingly metronomic lament of the deceived when the Indy sticks the knife in at the worst time

I don’t care how fair you think you are - you are not to be trusted and nobody sane should barter with you. Alas, as ever, I’m likely wasting my breath but maybe this will be the game they learn

but probably not.

"Cult is not Indie - Cult is Scum. Straight up. Whether you were correct or not is irrelevant to this point, because you are referencing it every game since as if it proves your point, when every example that runs counter to said point is ignored. Like so many others, you see an Indie side with Scum at the end and assume they should have loyally stuck to Town for no reason - when simply being in that position in the first place is the reason town lose those games, not the Indie. I can understand not fully trusting me, because you cannot fully trust my motives, but I have earned a measure of goodwill so far, and my wincon facilitates mutual co-operation. By trying to threaten me, all you do is give scum blanket cover, and at worst force my hand in using my abilities to excise you which in effect (assuming you're town) pushes me into a position of scum-siding. This is even expounded by the fact that I don't need to take action until I'm certain of my target, so I can afford to use my abilities for things like that until I'm at the point where I need to hit my targets to win."

thats ok, if you’re forced into scum siding then town will theoretically act rationally for once. Lose the battle but win the war.

"But they won't - because my own hand is forced by your nonsense. Any scum-siding, or town-siding, is temporary, so using things like the lynch on me only benefits scum on this. I really don't want to have to play beyond neutral if I can help it."
