Why do you all assume that T-Pein even has anything to do with Town Core? He was so clearly doing that as a divertion and for the exact purpose what´s happening right now, to make it look like as if it was something bad!

I think pein was obsessed with people joining it because it will benefit his team somehow.
The reason it didnt affect you is probably cause only the one who gets promoted is affected.
