How good is MHA?

If you're referring to the anime, I don't watch it but everyone that does says it does the source material justice.

The manga is very enjoyable. I'd recommend it if you're looking for something to binge.

The latest chapters seem to be heading towards that for sure, I hope he survives.
Hawks, Endeavor and Gentle are three characters that added unexpected depth to MHA that made me appreciate it more. I always enjoyed it, but I really sank my teeth into these 3 character arcs.

Any time I tell people to read MHA, I try to stress how it's more of a drama than a Shonen fighting manga. The deeper Hori goes into the series, the more prominent those aspects are. And honestly? They're a lot more enjoyable. Not to say that Hori doesn't do fights well, but the Todoroki Family Dinner was the bomb.

I watched the anime for a little bit, but Bakugo was really annoying to me.

Screamy explosive boy is an essential trope in any shonen manga that targets young teens demos though. But even Bakugo gets really unexpected development later on that grows on ya.

One piece history legacy long term feelings and characters that I like is still leagues ahead but MHA is quite good and has some mature or deeper moments, and plot that have made me more hyped about MHA than One piece for some weeks lately.

It was. That's why as a 27 year old I gravitate more towards the grounded themes and human drama aspects of the series than the UA student adventures. Not that those adventures and action scenes aren't fun.

You can't really compare them.

Dickmeasuring and fanboyism will always be there between series that target the same demo or are in the same magazine. But I'd read each series as its own entity and try to digest it for what it's trying to accomplish.
