Theory Black Beard's Cruelest Plan: Disgracing the Dead through Moria

TLDR: Ace and Whitebeard will be resurrected by Moria and Black Beard as Zombies, and used to attack Wano.



I firmly believe Black Beard and Moria are coming to Wano. Why show Moria coming to Black Beard, if Moria wasn't going to be used to connect to the main arc, Wano, and connect to Moria's main character motivation, killing Kaido?

However, Black Beard is an opportunistic asshole: I think we've thought Weevil would go to Whitebeard's grave: but, what if someone much worse shows up? If Black Beard gains Moria on his crew, they can resurrect Whitebeard and Ace as zombies.

What's the most disgusting, underhanded, inhuman way Black Beard could fight Luffy?

By making Luffy fight his dead brother, Ace, and relive his worst trauma.

Imagine Marco having to witness Whitebeard and Ace be used as Black Beard's pawns, to have their corpses be puppeteered by their murderer?

I don't want this to happen because it would be so fucked up. But, that's Black Beard, so... it's possible.

I don’t think it happens in Wano but Blackbeard using Moria Ace zombie makes a ton of sense tbh

I don't think Black Beard would do this for the sake of their actual power. It would be to mentally torment Luffy/Marco. Black Beard could literally use Luffy's dead brother as a shield.

Don't know if Oda would actually go this dark though.

I understand the motivation behind using the zombies, and even the in-universe logic but it would really feel cheap considering we already had a similar scenario in another popular manga (famous historical characters + characters that died during publication get brought back)

I doubt Moria would be involved in this without him breaking character. Moria would sooner die than serve another.

Honestly, yes. Otherwise it would be a betrayel of Moria's character.

Pre-TS Moria would sooner die than serve under Blackbeard. Hell, Moria got pissed with Kuma when the latter simply offered his assistance in dealing with the Straw Hats. Moria is far too prideful to ever willingly work under anyone.

So Blackbeard will probably just kill him and take his fruit. There is really no benefit in keeping Moria alive for Blackbeard.

Also, Moria wasn't capable of creating zombies on his own. He needed Hogback's surgical expertise to create the morbid mishmash bodies for his zombie army.

Blackbeard seemingly has a doctor type character on his crew (Doc Q), so if Blackbeard does want to create zombies (fuck knows why since they are near useless on an individual level) then he could just kill Moria, steal his fruit, have Doc Q create bodies and then create zombies.
