buggy-yonko is why i got into one piece: nothing too serious. it’s not that the story changed, it’s the people reading it that changed

i feel like buggy being a yonko is one of the most set-up jokes ever. the entire series, buggy fails upward and keeps stumbling into more and more success. hes obviously eventually going to end up as one of the greatest pirates ever, even if its a complete accident

yonko stans were the ones supporting kaido, and man he fought for more than 60 chapters without break, so expectations were met. It’s obvious that now with buggy being a yonko, admirals may be stronger. Same thing will probably happen to admirals tho, they will be nerfed in power, once akainu, kizaru etc. will be defeated, because they will be probably substituted by less-known, weaker characters
