With mysteries there are actually interesting conversations to be had and they are deeply tied to the story. So yes I'd say it's much worse. It's the lowest level of engagement with the actual story you can have
I think you are misinterpreting Hyogoro's speech from Udon. Ryo is just how they call armament haki in general, like how in Skypea observation is called Mantra, that includes the basic armanent as well as the advanced forms
So yes use ryo to coat weapons, but that doesnt mean you are using advanced armament
Ehm Akainu fought 14 WB commanders (with Marco and Vista) and still came out on top.
King (AND QUEEN) losing to GB doesn't mean they are weak

He sure is younger and more sanguigne than Issho, so yeah he's probably a hot-head too.
But imo more of a sporty one, not as stern and explosive as Sakazuki.

I never said you need Adv CoC to beat him. King tanked Adv CoC slashes though while Katakuri was hurt by a punch of Dressrosa Base Luffy and spit out blood lol.
The most hilarious part was Kaido saying Haki is supreme and then using his DF to transform himself into a dragon and then cover himself with fire for his final move.
