If we learned anything from Dressrossa, it's that he certainly needs those stats for his abilities to land properly. Law's utter lack of raw skills is the reason why Doffy ragdolled him in their fight. Otherwise, he's well equipped to kill Doffy by himself.

That is complete nonsense. Something like this was never implied. Luffy didn't have any ability that works around FS. Luffy's only plan to beat Katakuri was by achieving FS, which he did. His first awakening move made big mom l's face and hand bloody along with breaking her nose. His second move broke her hand along with law's second move and also knocked her out cold. His third and final move made big mom caugh blood and knocked her out twise. Heck his last move penetrated her advanced conquerers haki and her thick skin and her armament haki and overpowered her
