He did not claim a similar ability in any way, though. Charlie claimed he could randomly redirect a negative action from his target while Fuji said he was immune against destructive effects while working on sth. That working on sth was already proven by him gifting me sth.

What's your explanation for why he even claimed such an ability in the first place if not to cover his ass in case he was watched/tracked.

If he was afraid of that, then he was indeed visiting Fuji. Which makes Fuji and him not aligned given his abilities are vote silencer and Recruiter which he won't use on his mate, obviously.
