Yeah sure I don’t know what character development is…

They haven’t read Edens Zero and talk bullshit about a character they know nothing about

I haven’t read the manga? I'm watching and reading OP since 2004. The SHC went down character wise after the ts.
Luffy stays the same and makes the same mistakes
Zoro became more edgy
Sanji a bigger simp
Usopp is still a cry baby
Chopper doesn’t fight anymore
Robin became for many arcs a background character
There are less interactions between the crew etc.
Someone criticises the manga = OP fans: "ewwww then don’t read it"
Everybody has the right criticise something but meaningless hate is annoying. Everyone has a different view and different taste.
I know not much about writing stories?
Because I don’t like Oda's current writing style?
I’m writing stories since 12 years, it’s my hobby and passion. That’s complete subjective

Your statements are dumb af
Tell me instead what you like about Luffy's character and try to change my view
You guys are always such cry babies
None of this changes the fact that you still confuse character growth and character development.

Everyone can write stories, whether they're good or not is an entirely different thing, and whether you get the semantics of the words you use is also something else.

Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji were already completely developed as people by the end of the East Blue Saga, which let Oda write the rest of the story freely.

Yet, Oda still continued to develop Luffy's character through the post-war arc as well as Sanji's character through the Whole Cake Island arc.

Saying Luffy isn't developed is like saying you know nothing about him apart from the fact that he is the main character with a random goal with seemingly no reason behind it.

You're also implying that the lack of character growth is bad in a story as if you didn't even know about the 4 possible types of character arcs (or 5 depending on who you ask) which consistently include flat character arcs.

1. You became personal and I just replied to your statements. Now you’re ignoring the bullshit you wrote and say "none of this changes that…"
2. Character development and growth are terms which are mostly used for the same thing. You can be right because they are something different per definition but you know what I mean. None of this destroyed my criticism
3. In my opinion, they SHC went downhill after the ts and I explained why. You can disagree but stop with this "You haven’t read the manga" bullshit. Luffy and Sanji went through some character developments but in my eyes Luffy's character development went to nothing in the end. OP is far more than Luffy and Sanji, what’s with the rest of the crew?
for example:
Zoro's character development was:
- his promise to Kuina
- him losing against Mihawk
- his promise to Luffy
and that’s it? He’s a finished character in your eyes?
The rest is part of his character growth, how he becomes the WSS etc but he still needs some development. His character needs more depth and there should be more situations like in Water 7 where he acted the like the Vice Captain etc. btw Zoro is my fav character but I need to be honest here. His plot with Yasu went to nowhere for example.
If you like simple characters then you will like the current writing but you can’t say that other people who don’t share the same opinion as you "don’t know what good writing is"
