Kingdom definitely has a tons of underappreciated designed characters.

Some of my favorites are:

Everything about his design just makes him look so murderous and evil, it suits his character perfectly. He looks like a bastard that knows he's a piece of shit.


His armor is one of the most badass looking in the entire manga, and his mask does wonders for his character: It hides his facial expressions and makes him even more mysterious.

This old fart has an absolutely perfect design. Like tons of other old manga men, seems like he shrunk in old age lmao, but his elegant robes make him look like the old, experienced diplomat he is.

This guy is weird af :milaugh: His design is just very memorable, and helps him stand out from other Kingdom kings.

I don't think I really need to elaborate more on why her design is great lol. She just looks awesome

Gaimou is a whole ass clown, but damn he looks like a total beast. He's just badass. His size and his giant scar make him look like a total demon.

There's tons of other awesome ones, these are just a few of my many favorites, but what are y'all favorites?

I know this version of Shin hasn't officially appeared in the story yet, but my God is that armor so cool.

I love Kanki's design as well. It further amplifies his menacing aura and personality. Yotanwa's also great. Ouki as well for obvious reasons. His lips are the most iconic thing about Kingdom.

One design that I really like for more or less meme reasons is Tou's. As I was catching up to Kingdom, I would joke to my friends who read it that Tou does not look Chinese at all but instead looks French or Spanish. Every time that Tou would pull up to the scene with his "heads rolling" attack:
I would just be like in my head "NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!" I still do that sometimes lmao.

The Seika Drip - The New Wei drip is the hardest drip of any subordinate generals:







As much as I didn't like his character (not that he was badly written or anything) and found him annoying when he got introduced. Ignoring his terrible hair design, ShunSuiJu has the hardest drip when it comes to armor design.




The amount of sheer detail on the texture and the multiple patterns used in each of his separate plates that Hara put into his design, along with the layout of the chest plat with the straps, then the arm plates put in a way where they're like flexible metal sleeves. Shunsuiju lordy man, if he just had a better hair design he'd easily be top 5 character design in KINGDOM.

Kanki - knows he's a piece of shit vibe

Riboku - simplistic design that makes him look like a normie if you never met him before until you find out he's actually 3 great heavens, and underneath that:

Helmet and the wolf head on his shoulder adds up to the design for me.

The designs i like the most are the ones from the court.

lol both are the pics when they were going for battle.

Beauty and the beast Yo Tan Wa sama. Might be the best female design in the whole series and could be comparable with only Sei Kyou's wife.
This badass look of Shin from the first chapter though @Dragomir beat me here while posting this first lol. This should be the best general design of the series.
Lastly Kanki. Only person whose design exactly matches with character.
Lastly that new Chu's prime minister, RiEn. Totally cool for cunning court person. Lol
