Chapter summary :

Qin:
The chapter begins how the last one ended with Kanki asking Marron what happens if they keep up this nonsense. Marron thinks that if this keeps up it'll be evening soon and at Riboku's HQ the soldiers are told by Riboku that Kanki is waiting for the sunset. Kanki then tells Marron that in situations where the enemy greatly outnumbers them there are a few ways to fight then asks if he knows which method is the quickest. Marron replies that it would be in the case where they are in a favorable position. One of the soldiers says that's not the case for them right now because they're in the hunting grounds Riboku set up and there is nothing available to them as an advantageous spot. Kanki replies saying there is no such thing as nothing. While the Kanki soldiers are shocked Marron agrees.

Kanki says that if there is any good hands available to them right now it's that the Zhao are a regular army and they are not. Due to the nature of the two different armies there is a spot where the Zhao will get weaker and they will get stronger. In the darkness. Marron realizes Kanki was planning on filling the gap between their strengths and numbers by bringing the fight into the dark. That's why at their HQ despite all the things happening they didn't take any action and pretended to not be bothered in order to pass the time. Marron then asks since when did Kanki come up with a plan like this and Kanki replies since the moment Riboku's army came out. Marron is shocked.

Zhao:
Riboku's guess is that Kanki is planning on waiting for it to get dark and use the cover of night to escape. In order to do that he kept the front, left and right fighting while the main army remained in place. Even that odd cross shaped formation is merely meant to keep them hesitating and wasting more time. A soldier says in that case they should press the attack harder now since they know the plan, but Riboku says Kanki is most likely not going to wait for total nightfall. Just like the HSU the Kanki army is planning on escaping this formation. He says there's no way they'll get out and get back to Qin alive however Kanki is still planning on using the cover of night to escape from Riboku's grasp.

Riboku's soldiers are shocked and amazed that Kanki could even think he could escape from this situation. Riboku says they have been waiting without doing anything so it's about time they utilize all their strength in a full charge somewhere. When asked which side they would attack Riboku's soldier thinks it's probably to the right since the HSU is on that side as well. Riboku says that's probably not it and that Kanki will move to their left and as he says that Kanki tells Marron it's time to go and Marron orders the whole army to charge to their right. Riboku's HQ sees that his guess was correct.

The Zhao soldiers on the Zhao left sees this and are rousing themselves to engage them and take Kanki's neck. Riboku's soldier asks how he knew they would go to their right and Riboku says it's from when Kanki sent out his troops and brought them back. Not only was it for wasting time but also to find a location where the reaction speed of the Zhao is the slowest. To decide which side is easiest to get out from. Kokuou engages the Zhao and a Kanki soldier says it looks like it won't be easy. Marron says they know but they have strength to spare. He says that if Shin of the HSU was able to barely make it out then there's no way they wouldn't be able to get out and tells Ringyoku's troops to push in as well.

Riboku's HQ thinks that if this keeps up the Kanki army could very well break it out of their left wall and asks Riboku if it's okay for them to do nothing like this. As soon as he says this Riboku announces to his troops that Kanki is using his entire army in order to save his own life and there is nothing else to fear about his plots and that it's time to finish them once and for all.

Heki's army notices that the Zhao have begun to move. Heki gathers his troops who can move and says the Zhao are finally making their big move. If they stay here they'll be goners so they should go towards the Kanki army who are looking to break through and put their trust in them.

Kokuou and Ringyoku are struggling but then Zenou and his clan comes to the front telling everyone to move. The Kanki soldiers sees that the Zenou clan are at the front and Marron prays asking Zenou to do well since the reason they bring along freaks like them are for this very moment. Kokuou and Ringyoku decide to follow Zenou and push with them.

Riboku's HQ sees that even though the Kanki army was stopped momentarily they are on the move again. The soldiers say they should send Bananji who's on the left and if they don't do it now it could be too late. Futei wonders why Bananji isn't being sent to move and Kaine is also worried about it. Some Zhao soldiers see Kanki and charges for him but Kanki easily takes them out saying they're in the way. Marron thinks to himself that they can really do it.

No break next week!

I have so many questions here, really.

- Why isn't Riboku finally sending in Bananji? Seems he has a different plan?
- Maybe sending in the Gian general?
- Kanki discussing darkness and how they will be better in it, is a basic guarantee that we will see it tbh

Every single Zhao success solely within the confines of the Battle of Shukai Plains was entirely or partly attributable to Riboku.

1) Makou's death: Solely Riboku.
2) Akou's near death: It was Riboku's plan that allowed Bananji and Gyou'un to break through an Ousen patented formation.
3) Bananji/Futei pincer of Ousen HQ: Also Riboku's plan.
4) Gyou'un smashing Ouhon: Was also a Riboku plain if I recall correctly.

By comparison, Ousen was nowhere near as responsible for Qin's successes in that battle.

1) Saving the Left Wing: Purely Mouten, Ousen did nothing.
2) Gaku Ei's death: Purely the Right Wing commanders.
3) Chougaryuu's death: Purely the Right Wing commanders.
4) Gyou'un's death: Purely Ouhon.
5) Saving Qin's HQ: Purely Mouten and Ouhon.
6) Kinmou's death: Archer Bro.
7) Houken's death: Purely Kyoukai and Shin.

This was the difference in subordinates. Riboku's subordinates were heavily reliant on him. By comparison, Ousen's subordinates were far more proactive and readily plugged the gaps whenever Riboku tore a hole through Ousen's plans.
I'll just add a few things in what you said in your last paragraph coz you already answered half of the thing there.

Everything was under the calculations of Ousen right from the beginning. The way he judged the capabilities of young trio and how he placed them (also played them).

All the dialogues in about calculations and predictions in chapter 583 :
https://mangasee123.com/read-online/Kingdom-chapter-583.html

Everything was under his calculations and predictions to achieve his target he even gambled upon his subordinates, that's something Riboku never did. He would have informed them to target CGR but he didn't interfere there and see the results, even though CGR was still there but with awakening, Zhao's left got pushed back which allowed center to move forward and prepare for battle. Now if he interfered than Qin side would be relying upon Ousen just like Zhao did with Riboku. While awakened army give completely opposite and better results.

Also Ousen is the man who doesn't move a bit in war which he can't win but in Shukai plains if situation was so adverse than he would have left on the ninth day if anything was happening outside of his calculations.

As for young trios being there or not. Along with Makou or Akou :

I really believes Ousen still hadn't showed full capabilities of his army considering those dialogues or even at the moment of seeing Banaji at his head, he was totally cool and even barked at Ouhon for coming up to save him.

Also in the third point, wasn't it Bananji's own decision to go for Ousen's head while Futei was on order of Riboku.

Go back ~3 pages
No Qin would be lucky to escape the encirclement

For now Chu is the only tough enemy for Qin
Thanks for the info mate i apreciate it
Oh okay btw the author kinda good in making character, he already got so many character that killed back then.
I think 1 more nation wont be so hard for him.
It's around two pages back.

There shouldn't be considering all the advantages he had.
Oh okay i see thanks mate i apreciate it
Hmm yeah but based on the story riboku will lost then got executed and kanki will killed to later but i dont know when.
But i think its the time for riboku go home.

Think Shibashou is waiting on Kanki’s right at the rear or something disguised as a soldier. Riboku could atleast predict Kanki’s strategy and where he was planning to escape

Kanki has ZERO knowledge of tactics and he hadn't been taught by anyone.

Kanki then tells Marron that in situations where the enemy greatly outnumbers them there are a few ways to fight then asks if he knows which method is the quickest.
Riboku - :kuzanshut::lusalty:

then there's KouChou's head rollingon the floor. Quite similar situation about numbers just different terrain.
