You missed option 3: Sakazuki is now the ultimate opponent for Luffy since Luffy won’t be laughing like an ass tier clown during the fight unlike against Crydo

Luffy went on and on spouting BS regarding Wano’s citizens being hungry because of him, so I don’t see it.
And, let’s be honest here, man, with Logia awakening (Akainu primarily as it’s stated Yami yami is not a normal logia) still unknown, and whatever Blackbeard will have/do, do you seriously believe that Oda won’t come up with other random power ups like he did with G4 in DR, future seeing in WCI, coc coating, ryu and nika retcon in Wano? Is this really the hill you want to die on?

Important question is whether luffy would even survive till He reaches g5. We don't know whether luffy can actiavte awakening right off the bat or some Criteria is important.
And unlike kaido , Akainu isn't letting him go. if luffy losses his consciousness even for a second.
He is dead.
