Lmao I didn’t state anything wrong, I said it was more a fan made concept than anything explicitly in the series. That’s simply the truth. It was never take seriously in the story, fans just took it to tether Luffy to Zoro and Sanji, and Zoro to Sanji to make them look close in strength.

There never was a legit monster trio, because Luffy was well beyond the other two. As it is now, it’s fan made, because the story sure as shit never gave a damn about it.

It doesn’t downgrade anything, and it certainly doesn’t clear the tension. We don’t know the specifics of what happened, we don’t know if BM took his life span at any point during that while everyone else got away, we don’t know because we haven’t seen it. It hasn’t become a “happy go lucky” adventure either. In an arc in which the conflict was started by someone getting boiled alive, and in an arc in which someone a few SH’s had befriended got executed in front of them, it’s spectacularly out of place to say its turned into a “happy go lucky” adventure with no consequences.

We can also call it "A nice Disneyland trip", if you prefer that.
Yasuie's death is another one of those cop out moments. Yes, it was nicely done, but Yasuie himself had very little screentime before his death. It was a character specifically introduced to die and avoid having to kill off one of the truly important characters.
In the end his death was also completely unnecessary.

Regardless of how he got stronger, he had to get "much stronger" in order to be able to against a commander level opponent this arc. So unless Zoro beats King low-mid diff, your fantasies of Zoro returning from the timeskip at YC1.5 level or anything close to that are well down the drain
