Moveless Luffy? He was moving direct into Kaido's attack. He just couldn't move his arm to attack back.

Luffy would have died the same he would have only hit Kaido like he did few minutes/seconds before and made no damage at all.

Not saying that. It visually makes a difference if Luffy gets beaten mid fight by an exchange of attacks or when he's gassed and moveless on the ground. Yes the result was the same but Luffy would've awakened anyways.

Again, that's my point. Luffy would've lost regardless but killing Luffy after he gassed is not as hype as doing it in battle but for that to happen Oda threw in outside help.
