i can see what he means by Gear 5th, and why he likes it, i can respect the decision

but i can't say i will ever actually enjoy it tbh

i think a lot of fans should give that interview a read

especially some Admirals fans who are expecting super cool and edgy battles against Luffy

that's just not happening i guess

I have to say I’m glad luffy wont have super edgy fights but does make me concerned about the Luffy vs Akainu fight with Akainu being such a dead serious character with a straight forward serious style of fighting.

so maybe Oda really didn't enjoy making Zoro vs King, considering how edgy and serious it was, compared to the other fights

I don't like Gear 5th that much

but if i'm trully honest i never did like One Piece's fights that much

i've always enjoyed Naruto and HxH more for fights

what i love about One Piece is the worldbuilding, lore and the "moments" (we all know what those are, the big emotional moments in the arcs)

I think the problem is that sometimes Oda spends years on the raid / fights for example, and it just kills my enjoyment of the series for quite some time
