Yamato gives a real good fight better than King and Queen combined but I think something is going to happen. Yamato is either going to get seriously injured or she might get captured. Seems weird, that she expresses to want to join the SHs but is in this position without any of the Strawhats involved.
Or something happens with Momo where he dies and the new Shogun becomes Yamato. Kaido seems to have made a point that Wano citizens will always hate her, would be ironic if she becomes the shogun not through fear but because the citizens want her too. One things clear though! She ain't beating Greenbull.

And Momo winning will destroy the 340 chapters Oda had kept Ryokugyu hidden for . He was first mentioned in 713 , and was kept hidden all the way to 1052 . He is also a top-tier & one of the strongest fighters of the 2 factions in Final Saga etc .
Another thing is , all 4 previous Admirals met Luffy in their introduction arcs - In the cases of Aokiji and Fujitora - they even fought Luffy - and Aokiji won while Fuji's fight was inconclusive .
While in the cases of Ryokugyu's fellow adversarial Admirals - Akainu and Kizaru :
- Kizaru was trying to kill Zoro and then another top-tier ( Rayleigh ) held him off until Kuma send SHs to other islands
- while Akainu , he was trying to kill Luffy but had all these people hindering him from Luffy

No one is saying Momo will defeat him, its pretty obvious that he isnt strong enough to defeat a admiral, but plotwise what seem to be happening is that he and his retainers will have to be the ones to make Ryokugyu retreat, as the story need to move on and Luffy cant stay in Wano protecting the country forever, if u read Momo lines in last chapter and the ones after he showed himself to the citzens its clear that the final part of his plot is proving he is able to protectc Wano.

But anyway , there can be a balance between Oda not shitting on Momo , and not shitting on the newly introduced top-tier + war against the Marines/World Government ( since Aramaki is one of the strongest in Marines/WG ) .
