Sure Akainu's fruit is very powerful, but it doesn't really matter, because Shanks wouldn't just stand there and get hit by his devastating attacks. If Shanks is able to make an Admiral retreat from far way, then imagine if he actually goes all out. His attacks must also be extremely powerful, probably even more powerful.
