He wouldnt be in pain from intimidation.

I am not gonna trust the summary completely but it does imply he was paralyzed although partially. And then it's followed by Shanks' subordinates telling him that the newbies on the ship can't handle it. So it's definitely the intimidation waves, but it's much stronger than what we've seen so far in the series.

Again, this doesn't mean Shanks washes GB or something. It's just that I think affecting GB, or admiral for that matter, even for a little is a massive hype for Shanks.
