All these structures you guys impose on the story are in your head. The "monster trio" is not a relevant part of the plot, just something powerscalers pay too much attention to.

Actually he did but let's be honest here, Gaban isn't even in the top 5 most relevant RP, Roger, Ray, Shanks, Buggy and Crocus are all much bigger characters than him, he's only above the guys that no one remembers. And then you have Oden.

I can clearly foresee the same power junkies but ten years older fighting over how Lanji's victory is worthless because his admiral was hurt by Momonosuke and ran away from Shanks, only to be answered by how Zolo's adversary couldn't go past old rusty Rayleigh nor defeat Marco without Onigumo's help.

Kizaru goes after a half dead zoro,they all went after mid heart attack WB, Fuji went after Law with doffys help and GB goes after recovering alliance.
Admirals only appear to want smoke when they have a clear advantage.

He didn't go after him. The man just prevented them from escaping.
Law was in top condition and GB walked into an alliance that just took down 2 emperors and a week passed. Don't ignore that.
