The the battle for Wano drawing closer and closer and the major players on both sides getting set up in their roles. Who will be fighting Kaido's second in command King?
Sanji or Zoro.
Points for Sanji.
1) both King and Sanji have similar attributes in both using fire and flight. A) King's "Hell Fire" vs Sanji's "Flames of Passion". B) With the raid suit improving Sanji's "flight" abilities we could see a full on Arial battle in the sky. Possibly fighting on Sky Islands around Wano.
2) While King does have a sword he doesn't seem like a swordsman, more similar to Pica. This is Wano the land of Samurai and for Zoro not to fight the strongest swordsmen in Wano wouldn't make sense for his character. So I put it as a point for Sanji.
3) Sanji needs a strong opponent to go all out. Not just taking his raid suit to its limits, but also to see the full extent of his training under Ivankov the number 3 in the Revolutionaries.

Points for Zoro.
1) with Kyoshiro being revealed to be Denjiro, Orochi's forces have seemingly loss their strongest swordsman. As he was built up to be strongest Samurai in Wano and Zoro's opponent. As King is most likely Kaido's strongest fighter and again most likely the third strongest person of the Orochi Kaido Big Mom alliance under Kaido and Big Mom. It does follow the pattern of Zoro taking on the number two person.
2) While we don't know King's exact skills with his sword, I would assume that spending twenty plus years in Wano and having an alliance with the Shogun of Wano, King may have been trained the Wano sword techniques. And if so we could see a good sword fight.
3) Zoro has stated to be interested in learning Kinemon's "fire cutting" techniques, and may have picked up a few things either by learning them from Kinemon directly during the voyage to Wano, or by watching him and "copying" his technique. And if so fighting King would be his way of Mastering the techniques.

Personally I want Sanji vs King, because I've said for a long time that I want a Sky battle. Plus Zoro really needs to fight a true Samurai.

Zoro has also mentioned his interest in cutting fire. Zoro also has flying slashes as well. I doubt King is at any point gonna pull a Pica and run away from the fight.

I want to see a true swordsman which I believe King is vs Zoro
My big worry is that it will turn into another Pica fight, of more tedious than difficult. Simply because Zoro is written into a corner.

I definitely get that point which is why i can understand where you are coming from with the sanji viewpoint, both can create fire, both can fly, both wear suits, etc, but IMO that raidsuit is the perfect gadget to fight queen. Also King aint running

Its sanji vs queen

With hell memories, Sanji can directly counter Queen's plague by using his heat to kill Queen's bacteria. King is the worst enemy for Sanji to fight. He is better at flying and probably immune to fire.
Sanji would most likely be immune to King's fire too, plus Sanji could get better at Flying during his fight because of it. But I get why Sanji vs Queen is good though. If it is Sanji vs Queen, I really want to explore what the raid suit can really do. Maybe even Evolving the Diablo Jambe.

Wasn't that the logic with Pica? Because he had a sword, and was Doflamingo's number two person. And that fight was horrible.
I don't know what logic was there. There is literally no one who wields a sword who can make Zoro go all-out but King. Samurais hype is gone, and like i said in another thread of yours, the "strongest" samurai on Orochi's side will be YC4 at max, since we know that the strongest is either Denjiro and Shutenmaru. Have you seen YC1 lvl opponent beside King? Or maybe Inbetweener, since you want King to fight Sanji? No?

The big thing I worry about is, Zoro even if he fights King we won't go "all out" and be written into a corner again like in Dressrosa. Zoro needs a "All out" fight to push him to his limits, he hasn't had one in over a decade. There are alot of reason why Zoro vs King can and should happen. Both are their crews "number two". And like I said Zoro learning "fire cutting" and using fire has been foreshadowed since Little Garden. If there is a deserted island close to Wano where they can go crazy without worrying about the damage and destroy the island that would be great.
But I have seen so many times before "Swordsman fight Swordsman" I want more than that. Mr. One was a great example of Zoro not just fighting another swordsman and it's one of the best fights in the series.

Those sayin King is true swordman? Isn't this more based on the reverse logic that he's been fighting Zoro this arc? I mean can anyone post panels where his swordmanship has been highlighted so far?

I guess there's that confirmation of King being a swordman from Data books, which deny the claim of him carrying swords like Queen.

Anyway, Fans are in for Dissappointmnt if they really expect Sanji to face Queen. I can rather see Marco doing that if he arrives in Wano, bt if not, yes Zoro is facing him.
